Q: Help! I can’t remember my username and/or password to register for programs using WebTrac.
A: Not a problem! Call our office between 8 am and 4:30 pm Monday-Friday and we will email your account information to you.

Q: Why did a program get canceled?
A: Maybe we didn’t have enough people registered, maybe the instructor had to cancel, maybe a facility conflict came up...there are a variety of reasons programs may get canceled. But please don’t let that keep you from signing up! If a program has not met the minimum enrollment requirement one week prior to the first class, it will be canceled.
Q: How do program refunds work?
A: All cancellations are subject to a $10 administrative fee. To receive a full refund, less the administrative fee, requests must be received in writing to recmail@essex.org 14 days before the program start date. We are unable to refund credit/debit card service fees.
Note: Some programs (e.g., Bolton Ski Program, Fall Soccer, etc.) have different notification requirements and/or refund policies noted in the program description.
Q: A program I want to sign up for is full. What are my chances of getting in on the waitlist?
A: We always encourage people to put their names on the waitlist, there’s no cost and you never know what will happen! Sometimes people get sick, go on vacation, or overbook their schedules and need to drop out. Also, this tells us if there are more people interested than we can accommodate and we are sometimes able to add a session or increase the capacity.
Q: Is there a processing fee when paying with credit/debit card?
A: Yes, beginning Jan. 2nd, 2026 there is a small processing fee (2.75% plus $0.25 per transaction) for all purchases made by credit/debit card.
Q: How can I avoid paying a credit/debit card processing fee?
A: Come see us! You can pay with cash or check at our office at 81 Main Street to avoid the fee. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm, excluding holidays.
